All heads are forged from hardened and tempered carbon steel. The heads are made from one piece of steel so there are no welds to break.In addition the “frogs” (where the socket meets the blade) are rolled with extra thickness to make the blade more durable under demanding conditions.The handles are made from close grain American Ash, thick sealed coated to protect the wood, prevent splintering and extend handle life.
These tools are designed for strength and durability. They feature ultra strong carbon steel heads, heat treated and tempered for strength, extra long sockets, weatherproofed hardwood handles and grey hammer finished epoxy heads for rust prevention, better resistance to humidity and alkalines in the soil.
