All heads are forged from hardened and tempered carbon steel. The heads are made from one piece of steel so there are no welds to break. In addition the “frogs” (where the socket meets the blade) are rolled with extra thickness to make the blade more durable under demanding conditions. The handles are made from close grain American Ash, thick sealed coated to protect the wood, prevent splintering and extend handle life.
