Improved Sliding T-Bevels from Veritas have a cast bronze locking mechanism that is completely flush, allowing the bevel to be used on either side. It is able to be used in the most restricted places as the lever cam lock can be operated with a single finger. Since the locking mechanism operates by compression with no rotary movement, accuracy is much improved. The blade is stainless steel and the body of the beam is resin impregnated wood and could be used under water without damage. Two sizes are available: The 10" blade length is great for cabinet and furniture work, while the 4" blade length weighs under an ounce and is perfect for model work.
