1515 Knives are hand forged from France. These are extraordinary knives by Mr. Laplace. He comes from 5 generations of knife makers. Each new family member creates his own knife. The 1515 is the complete creation of Mr. Laplace.All holes are reamed by hand by Mr. Laplace who works extremely precisely. All the blades are mounted on Teflon washers for an even better action. Each pair of handles is specially chosen for color and wood quality. The screws and axes in these knives are made from specially hardened stainless. The blades are 12C27 Stainless Sandvik Swedish (or in Damascus) Hardened 56-7 for the 12C27 and to 57-8 for the Damascus. All the spines and knife ends are hand chiseled.
