From Thiers, circa 1940 - Created as a more refined version of the Laguiole Knife for men and women who wanted something more subtle with sleeker lines for use in office and home. The Lotus (which is also thought by some to represent a hand) was used instead of the bee because the Lotus was considered to be more noble and going back further in history and in architecture than the bee. This is a resolutely modern rendition of the formerly "peasant" and somewhat heavier Laguiole. A sleek "race-car" of a pocket knife.
